When Should A Person Be Referred To The Counseling Center? The Counseling Center works with patients who have already been through residential treatment programs and are stable enough to reside on their own but require continued sobriety and mental health support. In order to refer someone to us, they must be: At least 14 years old Done detoxing from alcohol and/or drugs Medically stable Require specialized services for maintaining sobriety or addressing mental health disorders Committed to participate in mental health counseling to address substance use and mental disorders
Will Referrals Be Kept Private?Yes! Our trained personnel maintain the privacy of all patient communications and documentation. We only talk about their recovery with them, you as their medical provider, and their approved relatives.
What Should I Expect After Making A Referral? When you submit a referral to The Counseling Center, someone will respond promptly, no matter the time or day of the week. We’ll discuss if our treatments make sense for the patient’s needs at the moment or if they should find a different kind of treatment for their present stage of addiction or mental health rehab. If we decide The Counseling Center at Roxbury-Succasunna is the right option for them, we’ll schedule a psychological appraisal and discuss insurance and potential payment plans. After this is done, we’ll suggest the right treatment for them and enroll them in one of our customizable outpatient programs.
